BCS (HK Section) is organizing a visit to the Hong Kong Observatory on 13th March. It is a great chance to understand more about their services and applications of technology in their daily work. In addition, there would be a tour to their Central Forecasting Office which is used for the preparation and issue of weather information, forecasts and various warnings on hazardous weather to the public, shipping community and aviation groups. In addition, the tour will also cover the studio for television weather programme production, as well as meteorological instruments. We believe it would be a valuable and interesting tour.
