Hong Kong ICT Awards 2009 - Best Professional Development Award aims to give recognition to products / services / schemes that contribute to the ICT manpower and professional development in Hong Kong.

The award streams under this category recognise not only finished or existing products / services / schemes, but also conceptual items that will provide impetus to ICT manpower and professional development in Hong Kong.

The Best Professional Development (ICT Professional) Award for those products, services, or schemes that contribute to the advance in ICT competency of
practitioners in ICT industry

The Best Professional Development (Other Professional) Award enables any products, services or schemes which apply ICT to uplift the competency of
practitioners in any industries, other than ICT practitioners

Products, services, and schemes including the following, but not limited to, hardware modules, programmable devices, software, online or offline e-learning
system or platform, tools, media, system, knowledge transfer methodologies, training schemes, academic and training courses organised by any institutes or
institutions. Besides, any entries able to reduce digital divide, advance skill level of practitioners will be accepted.

For each award stream, there could be Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. Upon recommendation by the Judging Panel, Certificates of Merit may also be
presented. The decision on whether all the awards on each award stream will be presented will rest with the Judging Panel.

The most outstanding submission amongst the two streams will be awarded the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2011: Best Professional Development Grand Award. It
will be recommended to run for the competition of the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2011: Award of the Year.
