Visit Castle Peak Power Station of CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd.
BCS(HKS) has organised a visit to the Castle Peak Power Station of CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. We would have a chance to know more about the production of electricity, environmental protection and energy efficiency. We can experience the state-of-the-art technologies of the 21st Century power industry. The trip will cover the ElectriCity Gallery, Seeing is Believing Gallery (Turbine Hall) and the Castle Peak & Black Point Plant Tour on Coach.
The arrangement is as follows:

BCS Mentorship - Visit to Cyberport
BCS (Hong Kong Section) is organising a visit to Cyberport in August. Cyberport is a US$2 billion (HK$15.8 billion) landmark project managed by Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, and wholly owned by the Hong Kong SAR Government. Focusing on enterprise and professional development, Cyberport helps commercialise creative ideas and incubate start-ups. Cyberport has an energetic cluster of creative ICT and digital content tenants who enjoy synergies from co-locating with each other, and it is Hong Kong's unique Creative Digital Community. The Cyberport Digital Entertainment Incubation-cum-Training Centre is worth visiting for better understanding of incubation in the digital entertainment and digital multimedia industries of Hong Kong.

BCS Mentorship 2nd Corporate Visit - Group Sense (International) Ltd. Dongguan Factory
The 2nd corporate visit- Group Sense (International) Ltd. Dongguan Factory - organized by the BCS mentorship programme, will be held on 17 April 2010. Group Sense (International) Ltd. (GSL) is the world leading manufacturer of electronic dictionaries and other handheld information devices. GSL launched the first English/Chinese electronic dictionary in Hong Kong under the brand name of "Instant-Dict" which has since become the leading consumer brand in the Greater China market. GSL has also been granted numerous awards including the various awards of Hong Kong Awards for Industry. This visit is a great chance to understand the production facilities and the manufacturing processes of the GSL factory in Dongguan. We believe that it would be a valuable tour.

Hong Kong Observatory harnesses cutting-edge technologies in providing world-class weather services. BCS (HK Section) had organized a visit to the Hong Kong Observatory on 13th March. It is a great chance to understand more about their services and applications of technology in their daily work. In addition, there would be a tour to their Central Forecasting Office which is used for the preparation and issue of weather information, forecasts and various warnings on hazardous weather to the public, shipping community and aviation groups. In addition, the tour will also cover the studio for television weather programme production, as well as meteorological instruments. We believe it would be a valuable and interesting tour.

Visit to Satellite Remote Sensing Receiving Station of the Chinese University of Hong Kong
Full house. Thank you for your support.
The Satellite Remote Sensing Receiving Station is an important facility of the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. By capturing and processing satellite-sourced remote sensing data, the Station can provide useful information that is useful to Hong Kong, South China and neighbouring regions. Examples of applications may include environmental survey, weather, oil spill, hill fire and change of area etc.
The visit covers:
1) Operations of the Satellite Remote Sensing Receiving Station of CUHK; and
2) Related Applications, research and services; and
3) Visit to the Satellite Station and the receiving antenna.
